On January two important events took place on the region’s agricultural calendar, centered on cherry post-harvest strategies and gathering professionals and growers aiming to enhance orchard management and production outcomes.

SEABIOTECH  and CALS Chillán on January 31st organized a successful field meeting at the orchard of Mr. Abel Moncada Navarrete, placed in Fundo Santa Monica, in Quiriquina, in the commune of San Ignacio. The activity began at 8:45 am and participated the experienced agronomist Cristian Pino who shared his expertise on key post-harvest management practices. Participants learnt valuable insights on strategies for improving cherry  quality and yield, and also had the opportunity to engage directly with the expert, asking questions and sharing experiences. During the event, SEABIOTECH presented its innovate portafolio of biostimulants based on seaweed extracts, positioned as a valuable tool to help maximize orchard productivity. The meeting ended with special thanks to all the participants for their enthusiasm and to CALS Chillan for their collaboration.

Previously on January 24th, CALS branch Curico organized another event at the orchard of Mr. Carlos Fuenzalida León, located at Parcela El llano, kilometer 3, in Romeral. The activity began at 8:30 am, this meeting also focused on the importance of post-harvest management, highlighting the value of continuing education and knowledge exchange within the agricultural community.

Both events served as opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and also to connect with other professionals of the sector reflecting commitment to continuous improvement in agricultural production.

Our purpose is to continue participating in technical meetings of this kind, where education and knowledge exchange remain a priority within our agricultural community.
