On May 14, SeaBiotech participated in the Field Day organized by Mundoagro, held at Agrícola Las Acacias in the city of Chillán, Chile.
The event brought together growers, advisors, and companies from the agricultural industry around a comprehensive technical program focused on high-quality cherry production, addressing different management practices and strategies aimed at achieving premium fruit.
The event featured renowned speakers such as Marlene Ayala, researcher at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, who spoke about calcium as a key element in fruit quality; Christian Gallegos, agronomist and cherry specialist, with the presentation “Management practices that create value in premium cherry production”; and Matthew Whiting, Ph.D. and professor of plant physiology at Washington State University, who presented on the role of training systems in achieving high-quality fruit.
The day also included a technical field tour, where attendees were able to observe different production practices directly in the orchard, creating a valuable space for exchanging experiences and networking among growers, advisors, and industry companies.
At SeaBiotech, we highly value these kinds of events, as they help strengthen industry connections, share knowledge, and continue contributing to the development of more efficient and sustainable agriculture.
